In light of Thanksgiving

In light of celebrating Thanksgiving last week, did you take the time to verbalize what and who you are thankful for? Tell me about it by emailing me at jgregory@gccwired.com or post it to the blog for all to see. Even better, if it's a person that you're thankful for, go and tell them face to face. Today just might be the day they need to be encouraged, to have life breathed into them.

The tongue has the power of life and death... Proverbs 18:21

I am thankful that I have the opportunity to grow and serve under your leadership. I don't know where I would be sometimes without your constant friendship to me.

Hello Judy. I'm Casey Grenert, I'm an 8th grader at Schmucker Middle School. I had recently attended Oasis the 30th of November. I have been having a tuff time with family, my grandpa had finished Kemo for his cancer not to long ago,and the doctors called and said that the saw activity in his abdome.Today during our small groups, I prayed for him to stay health. My Mom and I have had some pretty difficult times this whole year, wheater it be, family, money, or just have good days. I just wanted to say that its been my first time back since about the beginning of 7th grade, I had a BLAST! I am looking forward to coming next week!

Thanks Judy; You're a great leader!
See ya next week!

Casey,
I will definitely be praying for your grandpa's health and the relationship with your mom. If you need to talk, we're here for you (jgregory@gccwired.com). I am so glad you came tonight. Leaning on Jesus in times of difficulty is a great place to start. Stay faithful Casey, you matter to Jesus and you matter to me! Thanks for the encouraging words as well.
Blessings my friend, Judy

It has been over a year since I've been involved in a middle school ministry. And I never realized how much I miss being around that constant flow of adrenaline, watching young people praise God. Oasis has a special way of bringing you into it the very first week you're there. Sure, I help out with the eagle's nest and play games with the kids, but they have provided me more of a blessing these past few weeks than I can explain! I'm thankful for Oasis, for your leadership Judy, and for my friends: Tara, Jeremy Post, Jeremy Law, and Naomi, who introduced me to this wonderful community. God is awesome!

I don't care what anyone says, Judy!!!! I love you THE MOST!!! Haha, just kidding. But I really do love you. I can't imagine my life without you or Corey or Lanette. My experiences with Oasis and Lifeline could never measure up to anything else. You are the best and I am thankful for you.
